Woman Killed In Two Car Collision At North Tulsa Intersection

A woman is dead following a two-car collision at 3600 N. Cincinnati. Police believe her SUV was going about 65 mph when she ran the red light and collided with a truck.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A woman is dead after a two car collision at a north Tulsa intersection.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3600 block of North Cincinnati. The two vehicles involved are a Ford F-250 Quad Cab and an Nissan SUV.

Police say the woman was driving the Nissan Xterra southbound on Cincinnati at around 65 m.p.h. when she ran the red light. The Xterra caught fire after the collision.

The woman was trapped in the vehicle and freed by firefighters. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Debris and car parts were scattered throughout the intersection as seen by our SkyNews 6 crew. A haz-mat crew was called in to clean up oil spilled on the roadways.

The intersection was closed for more than 3 hours while police investigated the scene.
