CUSHING, Oklahoma -- Friends and family of a missing Green County man turned to faith to find answers. Monday will be two months since John Baker disappeared.

But Sunday, his family is praying that someone will come forward with information that will bring Johnny home and bring comfort to his family.

It was John's daughter who found his abandoned truck near I- 244 and Memorial back in November.

Investigators are still looking for leads, but have little to go on.

His family held a prayer vigil and they're begging for someone to speak up. With raised hands and heavy hearts, John Baker's family is asking for a miracle.

Every pew at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Cushing was full, each one holding someone who remembers John's generosity and kindness.

Harvey Baker says his big brother was a cowboy with a heart of gold, But someone who knew how to take care of himself. So it's hard to imagine someone might harm him.

"You think this only happens to people on TV, It doesn't happen to my family," Baker said.

Even with no answers week after week, John's family is not giving up.

"I would never say I would give up on God. I'm a Christian person and I'll put all my faith," said John's daughter Carmen Matherly.

But waiting for answers to come is almost more than the family can bear.

"Please have a heart for us because we're breaking in two," Matherly said. "That's my prayer Lord, that I can find my dad and have some closure. We just can't continue to do this day by day."

Until someone comes forward, the Bakers say strong family roots and fond memories of the man they love will help them weather this storm.

"I'll never stop looking for him," Matherly said.

Baker's family is offering $30,000 reward to find him or whoever is behind his disappearance.

If you've seen John Baker or know where police can find him, call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
