TULSA, Oklahoma -- Police are looking for four males who robbed two clerks at a North Tulsa convenience store just after it opened early Monday morning.

Tulsa Police say the four robbers went straight for the safe in the Fiesta Mart at Pine and Peoria shortly after 6 a.m.

Two clerks were on duty and a customer was lingering around the counter. The manager was working on a computer, then she went over to open the safe.

At the same time, a silver Dodge minivan pulled up outside and four men jumped out. Two of them had guns drawn as they rushed into the store.

Another man remained in the van. One man put a gun to the head of the clerk at the safe, and the rest corralled the customer and the other clerk.

In a chaotic minute and a half, the robbers demanded the money and the clerk points out the safe is already open.

One of the robbers fired a shot into the ceiling. Two robbers raked up thousands of dollars in bundles, what police say was the cash from the weekend.

During all this, the clerk huddled into a corner and the customer tells them just to do what they ask.

"They made entry, two of the suspects produced handguns. They went directly to the safe and got the contents of the safe," said Tulsa Police Cpl Mark Shelton.

The robbers stuffed all the cash they could into a blue Wilson bag. They were inside the store long enough for the getaway driver to carefully turn around and park facing away from the store.

The man cleaning out the safe filled up the bag and had to stuff the rest of the cash in his pockets. They ran out of the store and took off.

Inside the clerk pushed a panic button and the customer ran to the door the tag number. Tulsa police quickly found the getaway van, abandoned a mile away.

The police dog tracked them a short distance and police believe the suspects got into two other cars and left.

"The surveillance video gives us a real good depiction of what happened," Shelton said.

With such good surveillance pictures and close ups of the eyes of one of the suspects, police hope someone will be able to give them a tip to help solve this armed robbery case.
