TULSA, Oklahoma -- Three men are under arrest after leading police on a chase that started with a traffic stop and ended in the Arkansas River.

Police say it all happened around 3 p.m. Saturday when a Tulsa Police Officer attempted to stop a truck for a traffic violation.

Instead of stopping, the truck took off and crashed into an apartment building a few blocks away at 15th and Riverside.

The three men inside then started running. One man even jumped into the Arkansas River and swam across to the other side police said.

All three suspects were eventually apprehended.

One of the suspects was transported to the hospital with minor injuries he sustained in the crash.

Police are not sure why they ran, but say the truck may have been stolen.
