Sandy said she worked Monday night and was trying to get home Tuesday morning when she came upon several stranded vehicles.

I can't go anywhere," she said. It's not that my car couldn't move, it's just that I can't go around vehicles."

Sandy said she was turning her car on periodically to stay warm. She also said had extra clothes and food available while she was waiting.

"I would definitely say do not get out in this at all," Sandy said. "If you can avoid it, don't get out in it at all."

Sandy was rescued hours after talking to the News On 6.  She was taken to a friend's house in Tulsa.

Officials said drivers who are stranded should keep their lights on and their hazard lights flashing so they know who needs help.
