TULSA, Oklahoma -- Restore Hope Ministry leaders are hoping to pack on the pounds. They're weighing thousands of donations from Asbury United Methodist Church members.

The church is holding its fourth annual food drive for the ministry. Last year, Asbury members collected nearly 90,000 pounds of food for the pantry.

This year they hope to tip the scales with more than 100,000 pounds. Pantry leaders say they could definitely use the help.

"Because of the storm and because of the economy, the demand and the need for basic services… is going up," said Larry Johnson of Restore Hope Ministries. "I know that this next couple of weeks every service agency in town is going to feel the increase, and we will be included in that."

You may remember Restoring Hope took big hit last week when the roof over its warehouse collapsed.

Two large freezers filled with meat were left covered in snow and ice. Leaders say the freezers have been running fine since the cave in.

But they won't check to check on the food until tomorrow, when they are allowed back inside the building.
