Sand Springs Names Interim Fire Chief As Search Continues For New Chief

SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Sand Springs Deputy Fire Chief Mike Woods has been named interim Fire Chief as the city looks to fill the position due to the retirement of Fire Chief Mark Joslin. 

Joslin is retiring in August. 

Until then, Joslin will remain an active member of the Sand Springs Fire Department providing guidance and support during the transition period. 

Woods joined the Sand Springs Fire Department in December 1996. He was promoted to Captain in April 1999 and became Deputy Fire Chief in February 2009. 

Joslin has served as fire chief since 2002.
