BRISTOW, Oklahoma – Green Country firefighters are battling a brush and grass fire near Drumright.
One fire broke out just south of the junction of State Highway 48 and State Highway 33 in Creek County.
The view from SkyNews6 shows motorists on state Highway 48 may have a hard time seeing the roadway because of the smoke from this fire.
Crews battled another smaller grass and brush fire Monday, just south of Bristow.
There is no word on injuries or whether any structures have been damaged.
Creek County commissioners approved a burn ban for their county Monday morning. That ban will bring to 23, the number of counties under a burn ban. Most of the burn bans are for counties in central, south central and southwest Oklahoma.
Firefighters have battled several grass fires in the last week.
Two juveniles were taken into custody Sunday after the Wagoner County Police department said they may have started a grass fire near U.S. Highway 69 and County road North 270.
One firefighter was injured in that fire.
