OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma --  Hundreds of students from across Oklahoma in Oklahoma City Wednesday to rally in support of anti-bullying legislation.

The students visited with state lawmakers to talk about the problems of bullying and cyber bullying.

Bullying is a hot topic for families across Oklahoma.

State House Bill 1461 would add cyber bullying to current state laws that mandate how schools should address bullying.

Read State House Bill 1461.

The proposed legislation would allow law enforcement officials to be included on a list of groups that would craft schools' anti-bullying laws.

The state Senate recessed for the morning and students took over the senate chambers.

Organizers say this state law is needed to keep students safe in schools.

The bill has already pass the state House with a vote of 74 to 23.
