HOUSTON, Texas – A Tulsa man suspected of child sexual abuse was arrested trying to flee the country in Houston Friday, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said.

Donald Lehmbeck, 63, faces one count of possession of obscene material and two counts of child sexual abuse.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said the victim is the granddaughter of Lehmbreck's live-in girlfriend.

According to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, on March 22, 20111, investigators learned Lehmbeck had left Tulsa and was headed to Costa Rica to avoid being prosecuted.

Investigators notified federal officials in Houston after determining Lehmbeck's flight itinerary.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said ICE Agents in Houston arrested Lehmbeck about 9:30 a.m. Friday after determining which flight he was boarding. Deputies said Lehmbeck had "intentionally moved up his departure time."

Lehmbeck is awaiting extradition back to Tulsa.
