Freeze Warning Issued For Northeast Oklahoma Through Sunday

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issues a freezing watch and warning for northeast Oklahoma through Sunday morning.

TULSA, Oklahoma – The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issues a freezing watch and warning for northeast Oklahoma through Sunday morning.

The freeze warning remains in effect through 9 a.m. Sunday for Ottawa, Pawnee, Delaware, Craig, Nowata, Washington and Osage counties.

Overnight lows below 32 degrees will be common, especially north of U.S. highway 412. Similar conditions are expected Sunday night.

A freeze watch is in effect through 9 a.m. Sunday for Tulsa, Cherokee, Adair, Creek, Wagoner, Rogers and Mayes counties. Temperatures will likely fall in the mid 30s across the area with some counties reaching 32 degrees by Sunday morning.

These conditions will kill plants and other tender vegetation that are left outdoors or unprotected.

Temperatures are expected to warn up some with chances of rain scattered throughout the coming week.
