DEER CREEK, Oklahoma -- Vandals targeted a metro high school, but it wasn't the first time for the school or a nearby neighborhood.

According to a school spokesperson, vandals struck the Deer Creek High School auditorium and painted profanity and obscene pictures on the walls.

Back in late February, the baseball field and other athletic locker rooms were vandalized in a similar manner.

"We had this big deer head and they cut it off, and we had this stereo system and they pulled the tape out of it. They made a hole in our lockers using a softball, and they used softballs to ruin the soccer room," said Tessa Gipson, a softball player for Deer Creek. "They also drew inappropriate things in the soccer locker rooms."

According to police reports, in December another house and cars of students who were at the house were also vandalized.

"It was the same type of pictures and words, obscene pictures and profanity," said Lenis DeRieux, the District's director of Communications.

And neighbors reported the same type of graffiti was painted on the walls of the Gaillardia development.

The cost of the crimes is now in the thousands of dollars and the victims said they hope whoever is doing it is caught before more damage is done.

"We take a lot of pride in our community and our school and our district, and it makes me really sad for them," DeRieux said.

Police reports stated in both cases at the school, the vandals entered the building through a door that had been left open.
