A tornado watch initially slated to expire at 10 p.m. Thursday, was extended for some of eastern Oklahoma until 4 a.m. Friday.

LeFlore County Management said their area sustained extensive damage. Officials there said numerous trees were uprooted in Talihina, a mobile home was overturned in Wister, and RV's at an RV company were thrown across the highway in Poteau.

In Osage County, northwest of Tulsa, a storm damaged at least one house and a business and downed telephone poles, power lines and several trees near Hominy, Deputy Emergency Management Director Adrian Horn said.

In Lincoln County, Emergency Management Director Joey Wakefield says a tornado touched down near Stroud. Wakefield says officials aren't sure if windows that were blown out at a restaurant and an awning that was damaged at a convenience store were due to the tornado or straight-line winds.

Marshall County Emergency Management Director Hubert Weaver says a tornado overturned three tractor trailers and damaged power lines near Madill, and three structures had roof damage.

Sonic manager Chelsea Blackwood said winds were blowing fast for about an hour, making it difficult for the car hops to deliver orders and handle money.

She says the employees had an emergency plan in place to take cover in a walk-in freezer but did not end up having to do that. Blackwood says one customer left when he noticed a rotation forming in the sky but eventually returned.
