UNDATED -- Weather is blamed for two fatal wrecks on Oklahoma highways Sunday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

An Owasso woman was killed on the Indian Nation Turnpike just before 9 a.m.

According to an accident report, Jeanne Polizzi, 43, was northbound on the turnpike when she hydroplaned her 2002 Chevrolet vehicle.

The car continued on past the center median where she was struck on the driver's side door by a southbound truck.

Polizzi was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries. The driver of the pick-up was treated and released from a Henryetta hospital.

Two hours later, an Arkansas woman was killed after losing control of her car on a rain drenched Interstate 40 in Sequoyah County.

Troopers say Sheree J. Hohn, 30, hit a tree on the driver's side of her 2006 Pontiac GS1 after leaving the highway.

Hohn was pinned in the car for about 25 minutes before being freed by the Muldrow Fire Department. She died at the scene of massive injuries, according to Trooper Shawn Griffey of Troop C Sequoyah County Detachment.

Both Hohn and Polizzi were wearing safety belts. The cause of both collisions were listed as rain or wet highway.
