TULSA, Oklahoma -- We know what to do when tornados strike, now some Green Country kids are learning how to stay safe in an earthquake.

Thursday's practice at Tulsa Community College's Child Development Center is all part of the "Great Central U.S. Shakeout."

Since Oklahoma earthquakes are often pretty small, experts say it's easy to forget we sit so close to the New Madrid Fault line.

So kids are learning three steps that could save their life: drop to the ground, find cover and hold on until the shaking stops.
