OKLAHOMA CITY -- -- Federal money is pouring into Atoka County to help Oklahomans recover from the deadly April 14th tornado that tore through Tushka.

FEMA and the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management will use more than one million dollars to help with housing, transportation, and medical expenses.

"We are working with our federal and state partners to make sure that survivors receive assistance as quickly as possible," said Federal Coordinating Officer (FCO) William J. Doran III. "The faster the survivors receive assistance, the sooner they can begin to rebuild their homes and lives."

The money comes a week after Atoka County was declared a federal disaster area. Storm victims can register with FEMA to get their share. Just call 1-800-621-FEMA or register at http://www.disasterassistance.gov/.
