Road Trip Oklahoma continues with our next town – Del City, Oklahoma.
The News 9 team is hitting the road to visit the town of Del City on May 13th. As late as 1946, there were only two families living in what is now Del City, Oklahoma. That soon changed after George Epperly bought 160 acre wheat field. By 1948 there were 582 homes in Del City, 75% of which were built by George Epperly.
Del City has many long standing family businesses within its city limits. Del Taco, Don's Alley, and MTM recognition are just a few. They have a semi-professional football team, a country music hall of fame, and a slot car track.
Join Oklahoma's Own News 9 on May 13th to explore Del City to see what makes it stand out in this great state.
