TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa police and firefighters responded to a single car collision overnight Sunday and found a burning vehicle and snapped power pole.

Police say the driver was apparently going west in the 8500 block of East 17th Street when the white sedan left the roadway to the right, hit a culvert and struck a utility pole next to a residential driveway.

The vehicle flipped on its side, snagging some of the downed power lines. The car then caught on fire, and Tulsa firefighters put out the blaze.

The driver was gone when emergency workers arrived at about 2:12 a.m. No other information was immediately available.
