MARSHALL COUNTY, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma City man is dead in a boating accident on Lake Texoma. Troopers say Jeffery Bain, 49, was killed early Sunday morning after he was ejected from his boat onto some rocks.

Bain was driving a 1990 Baja 32-ft. boat to Alberta Creek Marina in Marshall County at about 3:20 a.m. The boat was going an estimated 65 m.p.h. when it struck riffraff – the rocks piled at the bottom of a railroad bridge - according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's Lake Patrol Division.

The boat traveled 20 feet onto the rocks, and Bain was ejected, suffering head and other injuries. Trooper Danny Chaffin of the Lake Patrol Division said there was an odor of alcoholic beverage, and the cause of collision is driving under the influence.

There were two passengers in the boat. Twenty-one year old Audry Bain, also of Oklahoma City, was treated and released at a Madill hospital for a head injury. Chad Burnett, 20, of Meeker was uninjured.

All three were taken by a private pontoon boat to the Alberta Creek Marina, according to the accident report.
