OKLAHOMA CITY -- Facebook has become a great way for people to reconnect with old high school, college and family friends, but what about when those friend requests turn into something more?

Take a look at the Internet and you can find countless stories about how Facebook led someone to leave their loved one or at least tempted them to do so.

Tiffany Pacheco said it happened to her.

"It was heartbreaking. I was in shock," Pacheco said.

She said she received a phone call from a woman that turned her world and her relationship with her husband upside down.

"She said I'm so sorry but he's been cheating on you, and I have proof and the pictures are on MySpace," Pacheco said.

The first thing Pacheco said she did was log onto the computer to see the pictures for herself.

"And I found tons of pictures of my husband with other women at bars, clubs at the lake kissing on them, hugging on them," Pacheco said.

Pacheco said she was devastated.

"You don't do that to someone you love," Pacheco said.

AJ Jones is an Attorney in Edmond and said she hears stories like Pacheco's far too often. Jones said in the last year alone, seven of the 10 divorces they were working on all involved social networking sites.

"You don't realize when you make that connection, that connection is out there forever," Jones said.

Jones said she's also seen cases of married individuals listing themselves as single on Facebook and MySpace and taking pictures of all their escapades.

As for Pacheco, she's now divorced and said she's focusing on her son and their future, and for better days to come.

"He's a beautiful boy. I love him, and I did it all for him," Pacheco said.

For some couples instead of canceling their Facebook page, they have created a joint Facebook or MySpace page. Jerry and Kyndall Nixon created a Facebook page together and said it has helped them in the process of fireproofing their marriage so old flames can stay a thing of the past.
