UNDATED -- Social Networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Myspace are a great way for people to connect. But they've also caused a strain on some marriages.

One couple is opting to share their page to protect their relationship.

They are the picture perfect family. A beautiful wife, the handsome husband and three adorable little girls.

Both Jerry and Kyndall Nixon work hard to protect their family and their marriage. They share everything with each other, including a Facebook page.

"It's mainly family and friends just people that we would tell anything to," Kyndall said.

"Everyone you went to school with, everybody you go to church with, everybody you live near...there's a lot of people!" Jerry said.

Both Kyndall and Jerry say they've heard of people having problems because someone was either jealous, insecure or worried about their spouse having a separate Facebook account, or worse, using Facebook to cheat on their loved one!

"Yes we have and that's one reason why we have the joint Facebook account is because we've always tried to fireproof our marriage so to say," Kyndall said.

By keeping their information together, there's less temptation for someone like an old flame to lure one of them away.

Jerry: I feel a little like I'm missing something. I haven't had girlfriends try to contact me...and you've had a boyfriend contact you.
Kyndall: Yeah but Its been no big deal. You know we've been married for 13 years??How long have we been married.
Jerry: 12?
Kyndall: Something, and from the git go in our marriage we just decided to take precautions even though there were no problems or issues going on and having a joint Facebook account just seemed natural.
Jerry: If you want to protect your marriage having a joint Facebook account is not enough. But at least it's a good start.

In fact, Jerry and Kyndall's joint page has already inspired some of their friends to do the same. And they hope it inspires Facebook to add some extra features.

Kyndall: And maybe Facebook will come up with some easy option where you can merge two people's accounts and become one.
Jerry: Why haven't they already done that?
Kyndall: I know......boing right there!

Divorce attorneys say more than half of the divorces they see involve an internet connection in some way.

Their advice? Don't have a Facebook or other social networking page... at all.
