Several Oklahoma counties are flash flood alerts through Saturday morning including Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Muskogee, Ottawa, Rogers, Wagoner and Cherokee.

Green Country residents should be prepared for storms and heavy rainfall to continue as additional storms try to form later in the afternoon, according to News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone.

"These 'dry line storms' will have the highest severe weather potential by late Friday afternoon and early Friday evening if the atmosphere can recover from the early morning storms," Crone said.

The afternoon high is expected to be in the upper 70s.
