TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa couple was arrested Sunday morning following the discovery of a meth lab at an apartment complex. The incident took place at the Conway Apartment building at 4550 E. 33rd St. at about 6 a.m.

Tulsa Police Sergeant Thomas Bell said police arrived to assist EMSA and Tulsa Fire in response to a man with burns on his body. Police received permission to search the apartment and located a meth lab, he said.

Samuel Ralph Hunter, 26, was treated for his burns and then taken into custody for endeavoring to manufacturing methamphetamines. Police say his girlfriend, Fawn Lynn Shuttler, 39, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Bell said there has been drug activity at the apartment complex before, including methamphetamine labs, and that the police department may work with the city to start abatement proceedings.

"We definitely want the other residents that live here and the people who live in the neighborhood to feel safe and to have an area that doesn't have this kind of activity," he said.
