TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police say a 69-year-old woman who was struck by a pickup truck while crossing a North Tulsa street Thursday morning has died.

Anna Evans was walking in the 3600 block of North Peoria at the Comanche Park Apartments when she was hit by a pickup truck driving south.

Tulsa Police say Evans was taken by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition, according to spokesperson Chris Stevens.  She later died.

Officers say Evans crossed the road in the middle of the block instead of using a nearby crosswalk.
