G.J. Kinne Earns National Honor

Tulsa quarterback G.J. Kinne garned national attention with his performance against Sam Houston State.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa’s G.J. Kinne was named Honorable Mention Quarterback Performer of the Weekby the College Football Performance Awards. It is the second time this season that Kinne has earned honorable mentions honors from the CFPA.

Kinne completed 12-of-15 passes for 264 yards and four touchdowns, in the Golden Hurricane 56-3 win over Sam Houston State. The sophomore also led theHurricane in rushing with 58 yards on five rushing attempts. It is the third time this season that Kinne has led the team in passing and rushing.

The Golden Hurricane take on Rice Saturday in Houston, Texas.
