EL PASO, Texas -- The University of Oklahoma announced Monday that their Tickets for Troops program will end Tuesday Dec. 29 at 3 p.m.
Tickets for Troops allows fans to buy tickets to the Brut Sun Bowl and then designate them for donation to those serving in the United States Armed Forces serving at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, the site of the game.
The promotion enters this week with more than 700 tickets sold.
“We’ve seen a heart-warming response from Sooner fans,” said OU Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione. “We look forward to sharing the generosity of so many with our soldiers when we visit Fort Bliss on Tuesday.”
OU still has approximately 600 tickets left for personal use or donation. They can be purchased through the athletic department ticket office at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, by phone at 405-325-4668 or online at SoonerSports.com.
All remaining tickets are priced at $40 each.
