STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- After getting back on track against Coppin State, the Cowboys kicked off Big 12 play with an upset win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders 81-52.

James Anderson only needed to score three points in the second half to secure the win, scoring a game-high 28 points, including 15 from 3-point range. Forward Matt Pilgrim saw significant playing time, racking up 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals while subbing in for Marshall Moses, who was coming off of a one-game suspension for violating team rules.

Mike Singletary did his part to keep Texas Tech in the game, scoring 13 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out three assists, but couldn’t overcome 21 team turnovers. The Red Raiders had three players with three turnovers, including two of their starting forwards. The rest of the Texas Tech starters accounted for another six turnovers.

Oklahoma State next has to travel to Norman to take on Oklahoma in the first of two Bedlam games this season Jan. 11, 2010.
