WNBA Tulsa Hires Steve Swetoha as President

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa’s new WNBA franchise announced the hiring of Steve Swetoha as president Monday morning.

"I'm thrilled to become the newest member of this team," Swetoha said in a release. "Something truly special is happening in Tulsa, and I'm excited to be a part of it."

A veteran of the sports industry, Swetoha has worked in a variety of capacities for professional sports teams – including the Charlotte Bobcats, Orlando Magic, Jacksonsville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Penguins. Most recently, Swetoha served as executive director of the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission and the local organizing committee for the ACC Football Championship.
