INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -- It took a strong second half to get the win, but Jaci Bigham and her Oral Roberts cohorts were able to defeat IUPUI 85-60 on the road.
Bigham’s four second half 3-pointers and 21 total points lifted the Golden Eagles. Jordan Pyle added 19 on a perfect 8-for-8 shooting day and Kevi Luper added 19 of her own.
A 12-3 IUPUI (2-16, 1-6) run narrowed the Oral Roberts (12-7, 6-2) lead to six points, but the second half belonged to the Golden Eagles, shooting 51.6 percent in the frame and outscoring their opponents 49-30.
The Jaguars were led by forward Kerah Nelson’s 16 points. Janna Eichelberger added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The next action for Oral Roberts comes on the road against Centenary on Jan. 23.
