OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder will participate with the Volunteer Pep Rally for the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” show at Journey Church in Norman.

This is the show’s first time working in Oklahoma City and Ideal Homes in Norman will handle the construction.

Rumble the Bison and the Thunder Girls dance team will be at the church Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 8 a.m. to meet fans who are interested in participating in the build or who want to donate blood.

The Thunder will donate four lower-level tickets and a ball signed by the team for the fundraising effort.

There are currently five families that are finalists for the home makeover and the family will be notified on Feb. 1 on “Door Knock Day” by Ty Pennington and the design team.

This is the first community effort for the project and the project will finish Feb. 7.
