OKLAHOMA CITY -- After winning more games in the first half of the season than it had in the past two, Oklahoma City has had a less-than-successful second half and continued its three game losing streak with a 96-86 loss to Chicago.

Kevin Durant struggled from the floor all night, shooting 3-of-10 from the floor in the first half on the way to scoring 10 points.

Jeff Green did his best to keep the Thunder in it, scoring 18 points and grabbing five rebounds in the first 30 minutes of play, including six from behind the 3-point line.

Free throw shooting also proved to be and Achilles’ heel for Oklahoma City in the first half. It shot 3-of-8 from the charity stripe, while the Bulls converted on all four chances from the line.

Chicago had three starters with double-digit scoring in the first half. Derrick Rose scored 10, Joakim Noah with 11 and Luol Deng led all Bulls scorers with 14.

The third quarter was poor for both squads. Oklahoma City scored 19 in after the half, while Chicago only could muster 12 points.

Durant did most of his scoring from the free throw line in the third quarter on his way to a six-point quarter. He converted on all four of his chances from the foul line, while only hitting one of four shots from the floor. Green’s scoring also dried up in the third, shooting a poor one of three from the floor, while the thunder closed the gap to two points.

Durant finished the game with 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Green finished the day with 24 points and nine assists.

Rose exploded in the second half, finishing the game with 26, while Deng ended the night with 17 and Noah finished with 13.

The Thunder continues its home stand, and tries to snap its three-game losing streak, Jan. 29 when Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets visit the Ford Center.
