EL PASO, Texas -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane fall 73-59 against UTEP. The victory gives the Miners sole possession of first place in Conference USA.
Jerome Jordan had 20 points for the Golden Hurricane. He was the only TU player in double-figures.
UTEP (17-5, 8-1) trailed 37-33 at the 16:51 mark, then went on a 14-1 run to take a 47-38 lead. Tulsa (18-5, 7-2) cut the deficit to five points, but the Miners had a 12-5 spurt to push their advantage to double-digits.
The first half was close throughout with neither side leading by more than six points. The teams traded leads several times before heading into the locker room tied at 30.
Jeremy Williams came off the bench to lead the Miners with 15 points.
