NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Former Oklahoma basketball player Willie Warren and current OU offensive tackle Donald Stephenson were arrested for outstanding warrants over the weekend.

Warren turned himself in to Norman police Saturday due to a warrant for failure to appear in court for a charge of driving 40 miles per hour in a 25-mile-per-hour zone.

Stephenson was arrested following a traffic stop Saturday, when it was discovered he had a warrant for failure to appear in court for a charge of failing to stop at a stop sign.

Warren declared for the NBA draft earlier this month and is no longer with the Sooners. Stephenson is in the mix for a starting position at left tackle.

Stephenson was projected as the starting left tackle when OU’s spring season began. The sophomore was suspended for an undisclosed reason and missed the entire 2009 season.

Warren averaged a team-best 16.3 points per game during the 2009-10 season, but missed Oklahoma’s final eight games with an ankle injury. He had surgery on the ankle March 3. He also missed time due to illness.
