What You Need to Know?.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are looking to cap off what is easily one of their most successful seasons in school history. OSU has already notched its first 10-win regular season and has broken five team and seven individual records in a new offensive system. A win over the Arizona Wildcats would snap a two-game bowl losing streak for the Cowboys, along with giving them their first Alamo Bowl win and first 11-win season in school history.

Arizona was riding high through the first eight weeks, their only loss coming by two points to the Oregon State Beavers in Week 5, however the bottom fell out. The Wildcats came back from Palo Alto, California after a 42-17 loss to Stanford, the first of five losses to end the season – including a double-overtime loss to rival Arizona State. Coach Mike Stoops is 1-1 in bowl games and lost last year to Big 12 opponent Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl.

Who You Need to Watch?

Kendall Hunter has been quietly racking up yardage all season and has an opportunity to put up big numbers in his final game in an OSU uniform. Arizona averages 136.7 yards allowed per game, while Hunter averages a conference-best 126.3 yards per game and has had less than 100 yards just three times this season. Senior cornerback Andrew McGee has answered the bell all season and will have to come up big again against the high-powered Arizona offense. Playing half of the season with a broken hand, McGee grabbed five interceptions – which is tied for the most in the Big 12.

Arizona’s Juron Criner is head-and-shoulders above the rest of the Wildcats’ receiving corps this season. Going into his junior season the wideout had just 52 career receptions. In 2010, he racked up 1,186 yards on 73 receptions and 10 touchdowns. When on the field, quarterback Nick Foles was dynamic for Arizona. The junior signal caller averaged 291.1 yards per game passing, while completing 67.6 percent of his passes.
