Justin Hurtt's Jam Nominated for Dunk of the Year

CHICAGO, Illinois – University of Tulsa guard Justin Hurtt’s rim-rattling one hand jam during a game against Oklahoma State has been selected as a 2011 Dunk of the Year nominee.

During Tulsa’s matchup against the Cowboys in early December, Hurtt dribbled down court and busted through two Cowboy defenders into the lane for the left-handed slam over OSU’s Markel Brown.

The Dunk of the Year is solely determined by fan voting and will be announced during a one-hour special April 2.

Each week for eight weeks four college dunk videos will be released on the Dunk of the Year fan page on Facebook. The top weekly vote winners move on to the finals and are highlighted in the ABC special.

Hurtt’s dunk is competing this week against three other dunkers and fans can log on and vote once a day. Week two voting is open until Sunday, Jan. 23 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
