STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State erased a nine-point deficit in the game’s final three minutes Wednesday to top the Iowa State Cyclones 96-87.

OSU took a four-point lead in the opening minutes of overtime, but Iowa State responded with two buckets in 30 seconds to tie the game once again with 2:43 left on the clock.

But the Cowboys’ defense filled in the gap.

Oklahoma State kept the Cyclones off the board for more than two minutes while scoring on four points to take an 88-84 lead with 33 seconds left to play.

Iowa State resolved to turn the game into a free throw contest, a challenge which Keiton Page and Jean-Paul Olukemi rose to, knocking down eight free throws to end the contest.

Olukemi led all scorers with 29 points, as well as nine rebounds and four steals, while Page scored 19 and forward Marshall Moses contributed 19 and 10 rebounds.

Diante Garrett set the pace for Iowa State, scoring 25, but turned the ball over seven times. Jamie Vanderbeken contributed 20, along with eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Oklahoma State will try to notch its third conference win at 3 p.m. Saturday in Waco against the Baylor Bears.
