NORMAN, Okla. – The Oklahoma men’s basketball team survived a late scare to win its second straight game with a 67-60 victory over Colorado Saturday.

The Sooners (10-9, 2-3) led for most of the day, taking the lead for good halfway through the first half. They led by as much as 11 points in the second half, but Colorado fought back to tie the game 52-52 with less than four minutes remaining.

OU took the lead in the final minutes and made its final nine free throws in a row to seal the game. Colorado (14-6, 3-2) now has lost two in a row and is just 2-33 in its last 35 conference road games.

The Sooners had virtually identical offensive production from all their starters. Cade Davis led the way with 15 points, Cameron Clark, Carl Blair and Andrew Fitzgerald each scored 13, and Steven Pledger added 11. OU used only two bench players, and they combined for two points.

Cory Higgins and Alec Burks led Colorado with 15 points each, and Andre Roberson added 10 points off the bench. The Buffalos shot 40 percent overall and went just 1-of-10 from beyond the arc.

Saturday marked the Sooners’ first victory over a winning team all season. They are now 10-1 at Lloyd Noble Center, but 0-8 anywhere else. They will hit the road again to face Iowa State at 8 p.m. next Saturday.
