Cowboys Fall in Overtime to Texas Tech

Red Raiders blocked a shot at the buzzer to seal 75-74 win.

LUBBOCK, Texas – Keiton Page did everything he could to keep OSU in the game, but it wasn’t quite enough.

After a series of clutch free throws, a final shot from Page was blocked by Texas Tech’s Mike Singletary, giving the Red Raiders a 75-74 victory in overtime.

Page hit two free throws with 33 seconds left in overtime to pull the Cowboys within one. After a turnover from each team, Tech missed two free throws, allowing OSU a chance to win it.

But after driving the length of the court, the Tech defense collapsed on Page and didn’t allow him a clean look at the basket.

Keiton Page was the reason Oklahoma State was in the overtime period to begin with. Down three, Page was fouled on a 3-point attempt with 16 seconds left in regulation.

He hit all three to tie the game at 68, and the Red Raiders missed a 3-pointer that could have won it.

Oklahoma State shot just 33 percent from the field while Tech shot 44 percent.

The Cowboys, however, outrebounded the Red Raiders 37-28 in the loss.

Page led all scorers with 26. J.P. Olukemi, Marshall Moses and Markel Brown all scored in double digits for OSU.

Mike Singletary led Texas Tech (11-11, 3-4) with 25 points.

OSU (14-7, 2-5 Big 12) has lost five of its past six games after starting off conference play with a convincing win over then-No. 17 Kansas State.

The Cowboys’ path does not get any easier as they face No. 13 Missouri on Wednesday at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
