STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State women fell behind early and things only got worse in an 84-57 blowout at the hands of No. 1 Baylor Sunday.

Baylor (21-1, 8-0) started the game on a 20-9 run and only built on its lead from there. From that point forward, the Cowgirls (13-8, 1-7) never pulled back within seven points again.

Baylor led by 20 at halftime, when OSU was shooting just 26 percent from the field. The Bears led by as much as 35 points in the second half before pulling their starters.

The Cowgirls finished shooting 28 percent – including 3-of-20 from beyond the 3-point line – and nobody on the team made more than three field goals. Vicky McIntyre led the team with 12 points off the bench, with six of those points coming from the free-throw line.

Nine different Baylor players scored, and three of them registered at least 15 points. The ever-dominant Brittney Griner led the way with 19 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots. Destiny Williams scored 17, and Melissa Jones added 15.

Oklahoma State now has lost four games in a row and seven of their last eight. Baylor’s 84 points are the most OSU has surrendered all season. The Cowgirls will remain in Stillwater to host Texas Tech in their next game at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
