NORMAN, Okla. – The Sooners either have a short-term memory or use their bad memories to their advantage.

Following their largest loss in nearly 33 years, OU took out its aggression and cruised to a 91-62 victory against Texas on Saturday.

The Sooners suffered a 41-point loss to UConn on Monday and had five days to think about it before regrouping to take down the Longhorns.

Whitney Hand and Aaryn Ellenberg each topped the 20-point mark in the victory over Texas.

Texas kept up momentarily, but it didn’t take long for the Sooners to blow open a big lead. Hot shooting in the first half helped OU to a 16-point halftime margin.

The start of the second half was even more lopsided in Oklahoma’s favor as it went on an 11-2 run to open the second.

The Sooners led by as many as 32 before settling for the 29-point victory.

OU shot a solid 55 percent from the field while holding the Longhorns to just 35 percent. They also forced Texas into 25 turnovers on the night.

Danielle Robinson added 12 points and freshman center Nicole Griffin had 11 for the Sooners.

Oklahoma now has a three-day break before traveling to Colorado to take on the Buffaloes. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
