KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Oklahoma Sooners, led by senior Cade Davis, used an early 26-5 run to pull ahead of the Baylor Bears and roll on to an 84-67 win to advance in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament.

Davis finished with 24 points -- 14 of those coming in the first half. The Sooners’ lone senior drained four 3’s throughout the game and recorded four rebounds. Carl Blair finished with a double-double after racking up 14 points and 11 assists. He also had seven boards in the Sooners’ win. Both Cameron Clark and Steven Pledger finished with 10 points apiece.

Many expected the game to be neck-and-neck, but late the Bears took a blow late Wednesday when the NCAA ruled starting forward, Perry Jones, ineligible for pre-enrollment infractions.

With Jones and his 13.9 points per game out of the contest, the Bears looked to Lace Darius Dunn and Quincy Acy to produce. Dunn averages 19.8 points per game, but found himself in foul trouble early, sitting the bench with three fouls in the first half. Acy finished with a team high 21 points and 15 rebounds.

Baylor played flat, almost distracted, throughout the game. Facing the Sooners without Jones, coupled with the frustration of a sharp-shooting Sooners squad, the Bears struggled to keep up with a quick OU tempo. The Sooners' 17-point margin of victory is the team's largest in Big 12 play this season.

The Oklahoma Sooners will face the No. 2 Texas Longhorns Thursday at 6 p.m.
