NORMAN, Okla.—The University of Oklahoma has added another coach to its men’s basketball staff with the hiring of former Oral Roberts assistant Christ Crutchfield.

A source confirmed the hiring to Oklahoma Sports Friday afternoon making Crutchfield the third assistant coach hired to coach the Sooners.

Crutchfield, who spent the last four seasons at Oral Roberts, joins Lew Hill and Steve Henson as assistants for new OU head coach Lon Kruger.

While at ORU, Crutchfield was an integral part of the team’s recruiting efforts. He also helped coach the Golden Eagles to two 20-win seasons and ORU has averaged 20 wins since Crutchfield joined the staff.

In total, Crutchfield has 10 years of Division I coaching experience under his belt. Before coaching the Golden Eagles he spent two seasons on the coaching staff at TCU.
