TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa Oilers knew they were going to have to win at least one game on the road during their Berry Conference semifinals series against Bossier-Shreveport. And the Oilers did that in game one, beating the Mudbugs in overtime. Bossier-Shreveport bounced back to win game two.

And that set up a very important gamethree on Tuesday night at the BOK Center.

The Oilers were far and away the stronger team in the first period. They got a goal from Gary Steffes justthree and a half minutes into the game. Then, despite a barrage of shots, Ian Keserich stopped everything that came his way. And after one period, Tulsa led 1-0.

That lead wouldn’t last long though. Just 30 seconds into thesecond period, Shawn Limpright scored for Bossier-Shreveport to tie the game at one. Tulsa respondedseven minutes later as Marty Standish scored a short-handed goal to put the Oilers back in front. Once again, that lead didn’t last long, as the Mudbugs scored the equlizer. So, aftertwo periods, the game was tied at 2 apiece.

There wasn’t a lot of offense in the third. In fact, only one goal was scored. But that came from Oilers forward Evan Kotsopoulos. And that was the game-winner as the Oilers beat Bossier-Shreveport 3-2.

That win gives Tulsa a two games toone lead in the series. And it means they’ll have a chance to win the series on their home ice. Game 4 will be on Friday night at the BOK Center. If Bossier-Shreveport wins that game, they would then host the decisivefifth game on Saturday night.
