ROUND ROCK, Texas—The Oklahoma City Redhawks used a nine-run outburst in the second to beat the Round Rock Express 9-3.

Koby Clemens hit not one, but two home runs in the second to put OKC up 9-1 and Round Rock would never recover.

The second inning saw 13 Redhawks batters take the plate and nine of those round the bases to score.

Clemens blasted his first homer, a leadoff home run, to get the scoring going. Later Tommy Manzella added two more runs with a single, then J.B. Shuck tripled and Clint Barmes doubled plating four more runs for a 5-0 lead. Clemens later added a three-run home run for an 8-0 game. Drew Lock rounded out the inning with an RBI base hit for a 9-0 score.

Clemens two home runs mark the 20th time in Pacific Coast League history that a player has hit two home runs in one inning.

Things got heated in the fourth and Round Rock reliever Seth McClug as well as manager Bobby Jones both were ejected from the game after the home plate umpire ruled that McClug had intentionally thrown at Clemens, hitting the handle of the bat.

Round Rock added another run in the fifth and tried to get things going again in the eighth, but only managed to score one additional run and eventually fell 9-3.

OKC starting pitcher Douglas Arguello allowed only two runs and five hits in five innings on the mound.

Astros shortstop Clint Barmes went one-for-four with an RBI double in his final rehabilitation game with Oklahoma City. Barmes also made a strong fade away throw from deep in the hole at shortstop on a Chad Tracy ground ball for an out. Barmes will join the Double-A Corpus Christi club for his remaining rehabilitation work.

The Redhawks move to 7-12 on the season while Round Rock now sits at 13-7.

OKC returns to the diamond Thursday on the road against the New Orleans Zephyrs at 7:05 p.m.
