Congratulations Stanford. An impressive win Monday night in the Orange Bowl, and an impressive season. Most wins in school history and highest ranking in school history. Well done.

Now head on back to college football obscurity. The stars aligned for the fighting trees, but theyre about to fly away. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh is headed to greener pastures and quarterback Andrew Luck is headed to the bank.

its too hard to recruit to Stanford for them to maintain this level of excellence. Basketball yes. You only need five guys or gals who can play. Football no.

I predict we wont see Stanford in a BCS bowl again for another 10-15 years. They got "Luck"y. Enjoy the oranges. Itll be the last BCS fruit on your tree for quite some time.
