If I hear another analyst talk about Tiger’s swing change and how it’s impacting his game I’m going to scream at my television.  Okay, I already have screamed at my television. Look, I’ll admit that it must be tough to change your swing and win major championships all within the same calendar year. But it’s not the swing change that’s killing Tiger.  It’s the putter change.  At last July’s British Open at St. Andrews Tiger announced, in a rather cavalier manner, that he was switching from his trusty Scotty Cameron Titleist putter to a Nike mallet putter. Wait a minute!!  Would the Lone Ranger abandon Silver?  Would Superman cast aside his cape in favor of a potato sack?   Tiger won 13 of his 14 majors with the Scotty Cameron!   Tiger isn’t making any putts!  It’s amazing how well the experts say Tiger is swinging when he’s rolling in putts!  During his second-round 66 Friday at the Masters, Tiger got hot with his putter, not his irons.   Bring back the Scotty Cameron and maybe the magic comes back too.  Judge Smails on Caddyshack would never abandon the old Billy Baroo.  BillyBillyBilly  Tiger, say it with meScottyScottyScotty.
