TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Tough racers are taking off through downtown. Friday's route circles around the Blue Dome District.

The Amazing Race's Phil Keoghan is in town and part of the action. Phil is a sponsor for the No OportunitiesWasted, or NOW, and Novartis for M.S. Professional Women's Cycling

A team he says he hopes will bring awareness to M.S. and help him check another goal off of his list.

"Essentially I wrote a list of all of the things I want to do in my life and I've been living from that list ever since," Keoghan said.

On this list? Get passionate about a cause and raise $1 million to support it. Phil says he got involved with the M.S. society about 6 years ago when he took a bike M.S. ride.

He says he's been hooked ever since and hopes his efforts will become contagious.

"The bike MS rides are very special, there are several around the country so you know our team is happy to represent that," said Robin Farina, Pro Team Captain.

Farina said their group will participate in 10 tandem rides with actual M.S. patients during race weekends.

"It's an exciting time, you know everybody is out there cheering you on and things so it should be, should be a great experience," Farina said.

Keoghan says the work these ladies are doing on the track will kick M.S. awareness into high gear.

"They definitely get it, they get it, they're a great group of women, they're great ambassadors for the sport and I believe they are going to be great ambassadors for MS," Keoghan said.

The NOW teams took a warm up ride around town this morning. And in their professional opinions... Tulsa's got it made when it comes to two wheel transpiration.

St. Francis Tulsa Tough Races will run all weekend long through downtown and by the Arkansas River. Keoghan said if you catch the action, you may be tempted to pick up a new hobby.

"I think if people come tonight they're gonna, they're gonna wanna get a bicycle and they're gonna wanna take a part in a bike MS ride somewhere in the country," he said.

So far, Keoghan said he's raised $800,000 for the M.S. Society. He hopes this team will bring enough awareness to speed up his NOW list goal of one million dollars for the cause.
