CHICKASHA, Oklahoma -- In Grady County, a man charged with the rape of a 10-year-old girl is offering an unusual excuse for what happened.

Twenty-five-year-old Tristian Bowens told detectives he confused the girl with her mother the night he slept at the mother's home in Chickasha.

Police say they've heard "the wrong woman" excuse before, and they don't believe it.

"At the end of the day," says Chickasha Police Major. Elip Moore,"when you really look at the bodies' type, the size, nothing really matches up. So it's not really credible or believable."

Tristain Bowens remains in the Grady County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
