TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma teens are test driving careers in the healthcare field.
Nearly 30 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are taking part in Tulsa Community College's "MASH" Camp at Booker T. Washington High School. MASH stands for Math and Science in Health careers.
News On 6 was there as the campers learned about surgical suturing Wednesday.
The students practiced on mannequins and got a sneak peak at college life from OSU medical students.
"It's really having students do some hands on activities , really begin to look at all the plethora of health careers out there, but importantly see how math and science is crucial and fundamental," Pat Turner, with Tulsa Community College, said.
The students will learn about blood types on Thursday.
