Habitat For Humanity Dedicates New Home To Tulsa Woman

Volunteers with Habitat For Humanity dedicate the new home to Malisa Johnson Friday.

New homeowner Malisa Johnson was all smiles as she received her new home from Habitat For Humanity Friday.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa woman is settling into her brand new home.

Malisa Johnson got the keys to her house at a special ceremony Friday. Samson and Bank of America teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to help build the home.

But, they didn't do it alone. Johnson put a lot of sweat equity into the house. Now, she's ready to enjoy it.

"I've been renting so it's going to be nice to have a home to come home to everyday," Johnson said.

Johnson spent 500 hours working on the house, plus another 60 hours learning about money management.
